About Dr Merelita Goneyali
Dr Goneyali graduated from the University of the South Pacific/Fiji school of Medicine. After successfully completing her internship, she spent a few years working in the pathology department at CWM Hospital in Suva, where she realised the desire to further her training in anatomical pathology. Merelita underwent formal anatomical pathology training in New Zealand at the Middlemore hospital in Auckland and later at the Medlab Central laboratory in Palmerston North Hospital. After gaining her FRCPA in 2012, she relocated to Australia, where she worked in public and private settings reporting a wide range of anatomical pathology cases and has continued to pursue her focus in skin working at dedicated dermatopathology laboratories in NSW and QLD. Merelita joined IQ Pathology in 2021 to further her speciality in dermatopathology.
